We are seeking for proactive and client-oriented Associate Paraplanner to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering rigorous and high-quality paraplanning services to the advice network whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing exceptional support to financial advisors.

As an Associate Paraplanner, your duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide exceptional, compliant, and timely paraplanning services to advice network.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of Statements of Advice using Xplan financial planning software.
  • Prepare high-quality and compliant Statements of Advice and other advice documents on behalf of planners.
  • Specialize in advice development to build financial planning and wealth management knowledge and experience.
  • Meet and exceed individual productivity targets.
  • Ensure that paraplanning service standards are met.
  • Guarantee that paraplanning services are in accordance with licensee standards.
  • Prioritize the development and maintenance of advanced financial planning software skills.
  • Build and reinforce a constructive and high-performing culture (individually and collectively as a team member).
  • Maintain minimum education requirements.
  • Prepare basic and comprehensive Statements of Advice and other advice documents dealing with various mainstream strategies in particular: Transition to Retirement, Income Streams, Wealth Creation and SMSF.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of various tax structures (highly regarded).
  • Gain proficiencies in using Xplan financial planning software.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Business, Banking and Finance, and Economics or any equivalent.
  • Preferably has experience working in a Financial Services environment.
  • Completion of Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (ADFS) or demonstrated success in continuing ADFS studies is preferred.
  • Diploma of Financial Services (DFS) is a plus.
  • Must have an advanced understanding of MS Word and Excel Software.
  • Can interact (both verbally and written form) effectively with planners.
  • Demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills and with keen attention to detail.
  • Can work within a team environment, whilst also having individual targets to meet.
  • Must be knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and flexible.
  • Must be a team player.
