Are you a Xero expert with a deep understanding of Australian accounting standards and payroll regulations? Can you move beyond automated software exports to manual source-document preparation?

If your answer is yes, then WE WANT YOU! 

We need an Accounting Admin (AU Account) who is highly motivated with experience working with Australian tax and corporate law. 

As an Accounting Admin (AU Account), your duties and responsibilities include:

Administrative & Corporate Support

  • Provide general administrative support as delegated by the Office Manager
  • Manage corporate affairs tasks, including ASIC agent responsibilities
  • Attend to ASIC compliance requirements and understand the company review process
  • Assist with various office and client-related administrative duties

Bookkeeping & Payroll

  • Demonstrate solid understanding of bookkeeping principles
  • Apply Australian bookkeeping standards accurately
  • Manage payroll processing and compliance
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
  • Experience with CAS360 (advantageous)

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Prepare annual financial reports for investment entities
  • Prepare financial statements directly from source documents (not solely software-generated reports)
  • Work independently on assigned jobs up to review stage
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Collaborate with team members handling specific jobs to review stage
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required by the client.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preparing financial reports specifically for Australian investment entities.
  • Proven ability to prepare financial statements from source documents (not just software-generated).
  • Proficiency in Xero, BGL, and Active Ledger. Experience with CAS360 is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ASIC regulatory processes and Australian bookkeeping standards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English with the ability to present complex financial data to senior leadership clearly.
  • Keen attention to detail with a “right-first-time” mentality regarding data and deadlines.
  • Resourceful and resilient when dealing with ambiguity or complex reconciliation issues.
  • Highly motivated to work with minimal supervision while thriving in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment.
  • Must be open to specialized training on Australian tax and corporate law updates.
  • Willing to be assigned to SM City Clark.
