We are looking for an Accounting Administration Assistant that can attend to all day-to-day administration tasks for the Business Services Division. The ideal candidate should be able to assist the team by managing client databases, complete given administrative duties, and corresponding with Australian government offices to clarify and resolve queries for clients.

As an Accounting Administration Assistant (AU Account), your duties and responsibilities include:

  • Management of client queries relating to administration matters
  • Management of client databases including Salesforce, BGL, XPM and Xero
  • Invoicing
  • Collation of client packages using Annature
  • Electronic filing
  • Income Tax Return and Business Activity Statement Lodgement
  • Attending to ad hoc and annual Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) obligations for our clients
  • Attending to all Australian Taxation Office (ATO) correspondences, including phone calls, with the ATO to clarify and resolve queries and issues
  • General financial, administrative and supporting ad hoc tasks

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in accounting, administrative support, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience in Australian accounting, taxation, ASIC, and ATO compliance processes is a plus.
  • Experience working with accounting and practice management software such as Xero, Salesforce, BGL, XPM, or similar systems is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting and administrative processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial and administrative tasks.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in completing assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and client information with professionalism.
  • Able to work in a fully remote (work-from-home) environment with a reliable internet connection, suitable home office setup, and availability during Australian business hours.
